Welcome to Sustainable Solutions Corporation Greetings!
While attending the recent Greenbuild conference in Toronto, we recognized a clear theme in the future of sustainability. That theme is transparency. In today's economy, integrating sustainability into products and processes is not enough. Full transparency in manufacturing allows consumers to make educated purchasing decisions.
As we walked around the expo, we noticed two booths in particular that were highlighting increased transparency. InterfaceFLOR and CertainTeed Corporation recently released Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on a number of products. This step not only demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and product stewardship, but distinguishes their companies and products in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
Sustainable Solutions Corporation (SSC) worked closely with the CertainTeed Ceilings Group to conduct the Life Cycle Assessment of the products, coordinate development of the required Product Category Rule (PCR), and development and publication of the EPDs. We are proud to be an integral part of CertainTeed's product stewardship activities, and are excited to see companies like CertainTeed and InterfaceFLOR publishing this impact information which will help move our society toward more sustainable products, buildings and communities.

EPDs Publication
SSC is Instrumental in Development and Publication of Environmental Product Declarations
Following final development of LCAs, SSC recently assisted with development of the Product Category Rules (PCRs) and preparation and publication of the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for four product lines for CertainTeed Ceilings Group. Currently, there are only approximately 12 EPDs published in the United States, and SSC is responsible for developing and publishing 4 of the 12. Sustainability Training
SSC and AFREC Partner to Spread the Word on Sustainability
Alternative Fuels and Renewable Energy Council (AFREC) and Sustainable Solutions Corporation (SSC) have partnered to offer AFREC Strategic Alliance Partners a three-part series called: Sustainability... a Business Strategy-The Evolving Green Market and Sustainability Strategies that Work.
The next session will be held on December 8th in Harrisburg, PA. Each course covers an individual topic and can be attended without attending the previous session.
