| August, 2011 - A Tribute to Ray Anderson |
 |
Welcome to Sustainable Solutions Corporation Greetings!
As we prepare to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we also mourn the loss of one of the leading stewards of sustainability, Ray Anderson.
Ray Anderson was the founder and CEO of Interface, Inc. I had the opportunity to meet Ray in 1998, as he just began his journey to make Interface the first sustainable flooring company in the world. From the minute I met him he inspired me to focus my life's work on sustainability. His vision on corporate sustainability made him a personal hero and gave me the vision to start Sustainable Solutions Corporation with the goal of integrating sustainability into every building, company, and product that we encounter. Using my new passion for sustainability, I developed graduate level classes on the Principles of Sustainability and Sustainable Manufacturing, which I still teach at Villanova University.
Ray may be gone but he and his mission will not be forgotten. We will continue to concentrate our efforts to change the way the world does business until we can confidently say we are on a path to sustainability for all on this amazing planet.
Ray, my hero, my friend, my inspiration, I will miss you.
Sustainable Solutions Corporation (SSC) is a firm driven by our passion to make things better, one green evolution at a time. With a holistic focus on practical solutions, SSC offers a variety of corporate sustainability services and training programs. What sets us apart is our expertise in sustainability education and our thorough implementation process for:
- Integrated Corporate-Wide Sustainability Programs and Training
- Life Cycle Assessment and Sustainable Product Development
- Sustainable Buildings Programs Incorporating ENERGY STAR and LEED Certifications
For us, the excitement begins in the evolution of our clients' outlook toward sustainability. All too often we encounter doubts toward changing a system that works; but once a green process proves to work as well or better than existing ones, and shows quantifiable benefits, attitudes shift. This mentality shift creates opportunity to make major headway in reducing our clients' costs and environmental impacts. As more and more initiatives are undertaken, our clients become more profitable and less impactful. They are quickly inspired to see how we are different, dedicated, and truly involved in the process of the green revolution . . . transforming one business at a time.
The bottom line is, if we want our environment and our economy to remain fully sustainable for us and future generations, the only choice we have is to integrate sustainable solutions into the way we all do business. Please join us in this venture.
Warm regards,
Tad Radzinski
