GCC Certifications Offered

Greetings!

GreenCircle Certified, LLC, is proud to announce the formation of a partnership with the Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center (RMC). GreenCircle provides independent third-party validation and certification of recycled content claims. The certification program will help Pennsylvania companies and products that use recycled materials stand out in the marketplace. As part of the partnership, the RMC will advise and work with companies that want to increase their use of recycled materials and qualify for certification. RMC will also work with GreenCircle to promote Pennsylvania recycling industries beyond the commonwealth's borders.

"Pennsylvanians will soon begin seeing more of the 'GreenCircle Certified' mark. This mark will confirm and verify claims of recycled content in a wide variety of goods, from building materials to furnishings to general consumer goods," said Robert Bylone Jr., executive director and president of the RMC. "This will help consumers reliably identify products made with recycled materials and the companies that make them."

Since its founding in May of 2010, GreenCircle Certified, LLC, has experienced exponential growth. The GreenCircle mark can be found on over 400 products across a number of industries internationally.

The partnership between GreenCircle and RMC has already demonstrated its strength with the certification of over 27 of Regupol America's products. "We want to certify the most sustainable products on the planet," says Tad Radzinski, certification officer of GreenCircle. "We were pleased to work with Regupol America because these products fit that mold."

"We use anywhere from 10 to 90 percent recycled materials, depending on the particular product," said Regupol America President George Soukas. "This kind of voluntary certification program is a welcome step," Soukas said. "It helps us because it documents what we've been doing with recycling all along. It strengthens our brand among our existing customers and gives us a competitive point of differentiation to appeal to prospective customers."

Regupol America's products have received certification for Recycled Content as well as for Rapidly Renewable Resource Content. "They knew we were green," Soukas said of his customers."We knew we were green ... we now have proof."

All parties involved expect manufacturers that make products with recycled content will be eager to benefit from third-party certification. Because third-party certification is inherently objective, Radzinski said, it can be "a valuable asset in establishing credibility and developing consumer confidence."

With the increase of "greenwashing" - making false green statements - consumers are growing more and more skeptical. Third-party certification provides both companies and consumers with brand integrity and protection from misleading and untrue marketing claims. GreenCircle's rigorous evaluation process creates trusted transparency that ensures the company and its customers that the product claims are valid.
