Dr. Joan's Life Tip of The Month  

Moving is not just for some days and not others. Remember to move throughout the day, everyday, including weekends!  

What is Dr Joan up to? 
-- We are so grateful that JKS Communications selected Sitting Kills, Moving Heals for the Sponsor's Choice Prize in the 2012 National Indie Excellence Awards! The prize includes a virtual book tour that will take place end of August, and beginning of September. We'll share some of the highlights from that tour next month, or you can track it on our Facebook page.
-I am preparing for the first of its kind, "International Workshop on Space, Health, Aging and Yoga Therapy on September 7th in Palo Alto, California. An impressive panel is being gathered with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The purpose, to stimulate thought and discussion on how to best enjoy good health and happiness as long as we live. -Twenty three years after closing down our London chocolate shop GEOFFROI, the completed manuscript for our book Adventures in Chocolate has been submitted for publication. It contains all the original recipes and plenty of chocolate stories, photographs and memories. We'll let you know when it is available.

    

Upcoming Events:

-I'll be speaking - with chocolate samples - to the writers' Group at the Senior Center in Charlottesville, VA, this time with my husband Geoffrey. This is our first talk on our upcoming book Adventures in Chocolate.
- September 10th will be in Chevy Chase, MD speaking to the Hadassah group on Sitting Kills,
- On September 22nd our son George is getting married to the beautiful Nikki and joining with her lovely children. They make up a beautiful family and we wish them happiness, love, wisdom, good health and blessings.
