Valentine's Day Love Spellcraft This is a very simple, easy to do love drawing spell; you can adjust or customize it as you see fit, to make it more personal. NOTE: When doing love drawing magick, it's generally best NOT to aim your spell at a specific person; doing so comes too close to trying to control that person, and that's not cool. What you need: a statue or picture of Aphrodite, or any other deity you pray to regularly for love; red and pink candles; an offering dish; items for an offering. Optional but nice to have: pen and paper, love drawing oil and incense, red drawstring bag, rose quartz crystal; rose petals. Settle yourself comfortably in front of your altar. You can use your regular altar, or just set up your chosen goddess image in a special place. Light some red and pink candles-- use as many as you like, but PLEASE do be safe, use safe, stable candle holders, and NEVER leave burning candles unattended. Light the love drawing incense, if you choose to use it, and place your offerings in the dish; red wine or fruit juice is nice, as are red berries, chocolate or other candies and roses or rose petals. Speak to the Goddess as you would to a trusted friend. Tell her what you're looking for in a mate, what qualities would make you happy. Avoid specific physical traits, specific jobs, etc. Focus on what kind of person you'd like your partner to be. If you'd like, write down your list on a piece of paper and anoint the paper with the love drawing oil. Ask the Goddess to bring someone to you who fits these qualities and will make you happy. When you're done, give thanks and carefully extinguish the candles. If you like, you can put the paper in a red mojo bag along with a rose quartz crystal and some rose petals. Anoint these items with love drawing oil; feel free to add any other talismans that signify love to you. Carry the bag with you as you go about your daily tasks, meet new people, etc. and imagine it drawing love to you like a small, powerful magnet. Any food or fruit offerings can be left outdoors (under a tree, etc.) where the energies they've absorbed can go back into the earth. Be careful not to leave chocolate outdoors, however, as it's toxic to animals. Don't forget to do your part and go out, socialize, meet people. Be patient and open minded, and you never know what might come your way!
