Dear Fellow Alumni,

Along with the crisp air and fallen leaves, autumn brings the promise of fresh beginnings. While it can be difficult to swap sunscreen and sandals for meetings, deadlines and a full work load, KPUAA is already buzzing with excitement over what looks like another great year ahead.

And what better way to start the fall season than to attend KPUAA's third annual Homecoming Day celebration! This fun-filled evening will be held at the Surrey campus (Cedar Building) on Friday, Sept. 28. In addition to an exciting Eagles basketball double header, featuring current players and Eagles alumni, the event includes a catered networking reception from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Grass Roots Caf. Just across the hall, the women's game will begin at 6 p.m. and the men will play at 8 p.m. To add to the excitement, there will be some great prize giveaways. Don't miss out - please RSVP here today!

I'm also pleased to report that KPUAA's Boeing Factory & Future of Flight Tour on Sept.15 was a soaring success. A bus picked myself and fellow alumni and staff up bright and early at Kwantlen's Cloverdale campus and drove us to Everett, Washington to experience the marvel of commercial jet aviation and production. And what an amazing and unique facility it was! Following the Future of Flight, we toured the Boeing commercial jet assembly plant, which produces 747s, 767s, 777s and 787s. If you ever get the chance to visit, I definitely recommend checking it out.

For those of you looking for a great opportunity to expand your resume and gain valuable board member experience, KPUAA is currently accepting applicationsfor eight volunteer board of director positions. As a director on the KPUAA Board, you are a high profile ambassador and KPUAA's most valuable resource. With over 39,000 highly skilled and diversely educated Kwantlen alumni, there's no better time to climb on board -- quite literally! For more information on volunteer opportunities, please email [email protected].

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our programs, please call us at 604-599-3003. Can't wait to see everyone Homecoming Day -- Go Eagles!

All the best,

 Kristan Signature

Time management is one of those skills in life that nobody ever teaches, but you'll have to master it to keep a competitive edge in the workforce and stay connected with friends and family. While it can be difficult to say 'no,' especially for those climbing MORE>>>
