Kristan Ash |
Dear Fellow Alumni,
Happy New Year! I am very pleased to take on the role of KPUAA Chair as the next 12 months promise to be full of excitement. In fact, amazingly, Kwantlen will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2011 -- a proud milestone for our university and the more than 34,000 of us who have benefitted from walking through its doors. Watch for important updates!
On the KPUAA front, we will be working on two major goals:
1. To increase our engagement with alumni by offering programs that will
help you to continue to feel part of the Kwantlen community.
2. To celebrate and honour our distinguished alumni from the past 35
years.
If you know of a distinguished alumna or alumnus who has an interesting story or who has given back to their community in an important way, we want to hear from you. Please take a moment to submit their name and story to us.
Also, we want to hear your thoughts on our growing alumni organization. Over the past year, what have you liked most (or least) about the newsletter? What types of alumni programs and Kwantlen events would you like to be a part of in 2011? Send an email to alumni@kwantlen.ca and tell us what you think. With your help, we can continue to move our alumni association forward.
Sincerely,
Kristan Ash
Chair, Kwantlen Polytechnic University Alumni Association
