New Park & Ride Lot for Minneola, Lake County Commuters

Greetings!

The Florida Department of Transportation just completed a new Park & Ride lot in Lake County!

Located at 401 N. US Hwy 27 in Minneola, the new Park & Ride lot is intended for commuters to use as a central meeting location for carpool and vanpool groups. The lot features 101 parking spaces that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also bike racks for bike commuters. In the future, the Park & Ride lot could be a meeting place for bus commuters, as the lot was designed to accommodate large buses.

reThink will host a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the opening of the lot. Speakers will include T.J. Fish, Executive Director of the Lake-Sumter MPO, and Pat Kelley, Mayor of Minneola.

Public Meetings for LYNX Riders

LYNX will be holding a series of public meetings in the coming weeks to hear feedback regarding proposed service efficiencies slated for April 2012.

There is also a set of public meetings in regards to the proposed north/south expansion of the LYMMO service.

Let your voice be heard and plan to attend one of these meetings! Even if you can't attend in person, you can still submit your feedback online through LYNX' website.
