Greetings!

Last July, the Florida Department of Transportation asked commuters who live and work in nine Central Florida counties to reThink the way they commute. By providing tools and resources such as free ridematching software and the Emergency Ride Home program, reThink is now the #1 resource for area commuters.
Over the last 12 months, the reThink team has worked with employers to provide smart commute options to their employees. In fact, we now have over forty official employer partners working to make their place of business a great place for commuters. reThink has also partnered with many cities and counties across Central Florida to help connect the community to our services.
Whether your commute is across town or cross-county, reThink looks forward to helping you save money while reducing congestion and conserving natural resources for years to come! |

| SunRail is on the Move!

Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad and Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff signed the SunRail Full Funding Grant Agreement (FFGA) at a signing ceremony on July 18 at the site of Florida Hospital's future SunRail station stop in downtown Orlando. U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood also attended the event.
The funding plan consists of 50 percent federal funding, 25 percent State funding, and 25 percent local funding (local funding partners include: Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties and the City of Orlando). Today's signing provides funding for the first 31 miles of the project, also known as Phase I.
"Today's event is a critical step toward SunRail moving forward. It commits the federal government and the State to getting SunRail built and operating," said Secretary Prasad. "But more importantly, the pledges from all the local partners and the many businesses will once again reinforce their commitment to doing all they can to ensure SunRail's success."
For Phase I, $101.2 million of the $178.6 million in federal funding had already been allocated to SunRail. July 18's signing pledged over $77.38 million in federal funds over the next two years.
SunRail will link DeBary to Orlando, serving 12 stations along that route. Service for Phase I is expected to begin in late 2013-early 2014. Phase II will add five additional stations, extending service north to DeLand and south to Poinciana. Learn more about SunRail at the project's website: www.sunrail.com.
