Greetings!
Get ready for the launch of a brand new program in Central Florida!
reThink is a program of the Florida Department of Transportation that will be asking Central Floridians to reThink the way they get to work. From carpooling to transit, biking to telecommuting, there are so many better ways to commute!
Our full website will go live on Monday, July 12, 2010. At reThinkYourCommute.com, you will be able to learn more about the alternative mode of transportation that works for you. There will also be resources for local employers that are interested in offering Commuter Benefits at their workplace.
Best yet, we have ridematching software that allows you to find a potential carpool or vanpool partner. With Ez-Ride, you can automatically generate a list of your co-workers and neighbors to share the ride to work. |

Get Started Today!
You don't have to wait until July 12th to find a carpool or vanpool partner!
Our ridematch software is LIVE and available to help you today. Click here to set up your commuter profile. You will need to let us know where you are coming from (home address), where you are headed to (work address), your work schedule, and the best way to reach you (phone number, email, etc.). This information will be used to match you with others in the database that could be good carpool/vanpool partners. Your home address information is masked and will not show up on anyone's match list.
The next step is up to you: contact the people on your matchlist to discuss sharing the ride to work. If you do start carpooling or join a vanpool group, let us know - you may qualify for our Emergency Ride Home reimbursement program.
If you don't find your match today, don't worry! We are actively growing our database - adding smart commuters like you - which means that you may have a match in the future. We encourage you to check your profile periodically to see if any new matches pop up! |
We're excited about launching reThink and we hope you are too! We'd love to hear great ideas from you on ways to get the word out - from speaking to local organizations to reaching out to your Human Resources Manager. You can contact us at 1-866-610-RIDE (7433) or by email at info@reThinkYourCommute.com.
If you're already using an alternative mode to get to work - like carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, riding your bike, or walking - let us know! You may be featured on our website as one of our star reThinkers.
See you at the Park & Ride! - Courtney Miller
