IRS Increases Mileage Rate for 2nd Half of 2011

New Rates Reflect Rising Gas Prices, Other Factors 

 

The IRS just announced an increase in standard mileage rates for the last six months of 2011.   

 

From July 1 - December 31, 2011, the new rates will be as follows:

 

  • 55.5 cents for business miles driven
  • 23.5 cents for miles driven for moving or medical purposes
  • 14 cents for miles driven in service of charitable organizations
