New Bill Offers Deduction For Employers

On April 22nd, Governor Riley signed into law the Alabama Reemployment Act of 2010 (Act 2010-557) which allows an employer to take a one-time state income tax deduction of up to 50% of the gross wages paid to a new employee who was either receiving unemployment benefits or whose unemployment benefits had been exhausted.
