We Tithe as a parish and we need your recommendations
We donate 10% of our collections to worthy causes. We do this as an act of faith, trusting that, in doing this, we will still be able to meet our financial needs.  Please let the Parish Council know about worthy organizations that you would like us to contribute to. Information needed: your name, name of organization you are suggesting, to whom check should be made payable, where to send check and to whose attention.  Please send your suggestions to
Marilyn Tenholder.

Matthew 25
The Matthew 25 Fund helps members in our community who need financial assistance. All information concerning the people with whom we work is held in the strictest confidence. If you would like to contribute to this fund, make your check payable to Matthew 25, and place it in the collection basket. If you need assistance from the fund, contact Peggy Montgomery

Reconciliation Service Tonight
Thursday, March 29, 2012

7:00 pm

During this season of Lent, we invite you to join us for a Reconciliation and Healing Service.  We will gather in church for prayer and worship, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available for those who wish.

Stations of the Cross of Racism
Sunday, April 1, 2012, 2:00 - 3:00 pm
Fireside Room

The annual "Stations of the Cross of Racism" will be held on Palm/Passion Sunday.  This year we will be looking at racism in the criminal justice system.  This will be a "close looking" at what we know about the criminal justice system from a racial perspective.

The hope is that close looking will lead to better advocacy for those unjustly oppressed.  Please come and join us.

Your brother,

Frank

Easter Vigil Reception
Saturday, April 7, 2012
Immediately after the Vigil

All are invited to join us for a reception after Easter Vigil mass.  Please see sign up sheets in the back of church this week.  In an effort to keep our gatherings green, we are asking that everyone remember to bring their own reusable cups and utensils.

Congratulations...

Parish Council Election

Spring is around the corner and that means it's time for parish council elections. Sheila Leander and Steve Campbell are coming to the end of their terms. That means we have two slots to fill.

If you are interested in serving as a member of the parish council, or if you wish to nominate someone, please contact a parish council member, or place their name in the box outside church. (Before nominating someone else, please discuss it with her/him and confirm their willingness to serve.) Feel free to contact any of the current council members to learn what's involved. Nominations will be accepted until Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Lenten Blogging

Throughout Lent, Frank Krebs will be blogging about community. You can link to his blog by clicking here.

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
