New Member Welcome
Bishop Rick to Be with Us Saturday, June 4
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
This Saturday Evening will be a special one for us at Sts. Clare & Francis. We will be officially welcoming into our community all of those who have joined us since the beginning of 2010. At least 21 of those 29 persons will be joining us for the occasion. This will be an opportunity to not only officially welcome them but to get to know them a little better and to let them get to know the rest of us.
In addition, in the interest of promoting our connections with our sister communities in the Midwest, we have invited Bishop Rick Hollingsworth to join us. Besides being the pastor of St. Jerome ECC in Tulsa, OK, Rick is the vicar for our Presiding Bishop here in the Midwest. So we have asked him to welcome our new members into the wider Communion of which we are a part. This time together will also allow us to get to know Rick, and his partner, JohnVoegele, better and for them to get to know the Community of Sts. Clare & Francis.
So please come and make connections happen! And we'll have a reception for our new members and guests after mass, so please bring some kind of appetizer or beverage to share with everyone at the reception if you can.
Your brother,
Frank |
