Patient Testimonial

"I walked in right after my prescription from the physician and scheduled my appointment a couple of days later. My first visit provided a thorough examination and treatment started the same day.
By following the recommendations, I began to feel better and more in control of my cervical problems almost immediately. Within a few weeks, I was 100% better."

Vacation Travel Tips
| |
Have you ever had any kind of aches or pains while traveling? I'm sure that most of you answered yes! Whether you are driving to the beach or flying to a summer wedding, we have a few tips for you to help you avoid those aches and pains while traveling!
Car Travel
- The next time you pass by the rest area, pull over! Never underestimate the importance of short breaks and walking. Short breaks and walking get your muscles working and increase blood flow to the body.
- Posture is very important when either driving or riding along in your vehicle. When driving, sit close to the wheel, shoulders relaxed, and your feet flat on the floor. It is suggested that you position your hands at an 8 and 4 or 7 and 3 on the steering wheel. Remember to reposition yourself periodically to help keep your shoulders and arms relaxed.
- Try to utilize the cruise control whenever possible so that your feet can be flat to decrease stress and aches in your lower back and lower extremities.
- Remember to make use of your mirrors while driving! When you use your mirrors, it prevents you from twisting and torquing your neck too much.
Plane Travel
- Try to obtain an aisle seat when traveling on the plane. The aisle allows for ease of stretching and getting up and down without disturbing too many people.
- Avoid crossing your legs, keep your feet flat on the floor, keep your shoulders relaxed, keep your head up tall, and do not hunch forward.
- Try not to over pack your luggage and baggage. Instead of packing into 1 suitcase, try to use 2. Use bags and luggage that have wheels when possible, or use a luggage cart.
- Use proper body mechanics when lifting your luggage and bags. You need to have tight core stability and bend and lift with the knees, not your back.
Whether you are traveling by car or plane this summer, it is always important to remember to stay hydrated. Dehydration increases aches, pains, and spasms. If you have any aches or pains once you return from vacation, please feel free to come in at any of our 11 convenient locations for a free injury screen. Happy travels!

As always, we are here to help you maintain your active lifestyle. All of our centers offer free injury screens. If you or someone you know are not feeling 100% we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you.
