NanoGlobe co-organized China's first international nanotech application and business focused event with the Suzhou Industrial Park and the regional government and research institutions. The event attracted over 500 local industry and academia participants who were provided a global overview on nanotechnology commercialization status from RusNano, Finland Tekes Nanotech Program, Bayer Nanotech Working Group, Kyoto Nano Cluster and others. Topics such as Printed Electronics, Lighting, PV, Energy Storage, Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technologies, Functional Materials etc were all covered by national and international speakers.

NanoGlobe's Senior Consultant/Partner, Ms Sara Giordani presented Strategy of IP Management in Nanotechnology Business.
Chaired by Dr Lerwen Liu, we co-organized the special lunch session on Nanotechnology Investment -Opportunities and Challenges. Suzhou Investment Group, Nanostart AG, Zyvex, VDI, Transpacifc together with technopreneurs, government policy makers and researchers from Suzhou and other parts of China all participated in this worthwhile session.

 | Visit Suntech Power
|
We had the privilege to visit the largest PV manufacturer in China, located in the Wuxi New District, just 30 minutes car ride from SIP. We received a comprehensive guided tour by Dr Liu's old friends back in Sydney at the University of New South Wales (note its founder and some of the executives are graduates of UNSW). We obtained a better understanding on how nanotech could better improve Si PV efficiency.
