A First at St. Peter's and the Nation

Lowest Hospital Costs in Montana 

For the large hospitals in Montana, St. Peter's had the most consistently low prices, with less than average prices reported in almost all hospital services.  This fact comes from a recent report by the Montana Attorney General's office.  The report is the fourth in a series of evaluations of Montana hospitals' community benefits and other consumer protection issues commissioned by the Attorney General.  To read the full report please click here 

Endocrinologist Speaks at Hospital

Those affected by diabetes and their families will have a special opportunity to hear an endocrinologist speak on the newest medications  and current technology used to treat diabetes.  Dr. Barry Cohan, a diabetes specialist practicing in Great Falls, is the guest speaker at St. Peter's annual Diabetes Dialogue, Tuesday, Nov. 8.  A health and wellness fair will be held from 4:30 - 6 p.m., Dr. Cohan speaks at 6 p.m.  The event includes health information booths, a low-impact fitness demonstration and refreshments.  Flu shots and blood tests for A1c will be offered.  Please  click here  for a complete schedule.

New Physicians in Helena  

Several new physicians are now practicing in Helena; they include Family Physicians Andrew Gilbert, M.D.; Jonathan Griffin, M.D.; Kiley Kirksey, M.D.; Cathy Lay, M.D.; and Pediatrician Villalva Venus, M.D. New radiologists serving the community are Peter Pop, M.D.; James Seibly, M.D.; and James Tarver, M.D.  New Specialists include Oncologist Justin Thomas, M.D.; Surgeon Alissa Abentroth, M.D.; Anesthesiologist Michael Mondloch, M.D.; and Nephrologist Robert LaClair, M.D. The new doctors were introduced to the community at a new physician social in October.  For a directory of all of Helena's physicians, click right here!
