Dear MiNDS students & faculty,

I am pleased to invite you to attend the MiNDS Colloquium TOMORROW Thursday January 19th at 3:00 in HSC 4E20. Bring your coffee cup for coffee and cookies before the talk at 2:45.

Dr. Richard Salvi is a SUNY Distinguished Professor, and is the co-founder and head of the Center for Hearing and Deafness at the University at Buffalo. As a leader in the field of hearing loss and deafness research for several decades, he has published over 300 scientific articles, sat on several editorial boards and boards for national and international organizations, and has received numerous awards acknowledging his scholarly contributions. Dr. Salvi has spearheaded interdisciplinary research in a wide range of areas including auditory physiology related to hearing loss, the effects of noise and ototoxic drug-induced hearing loss on the auditory system, tinnitus, central auditory plasticity and hair-cell regeneration.
