JAZZLINE Dance Oct 22 & 23 supports Artist in Schools
Jocelyn describes this year's Jazzline, "It will again be a show of great variety.....from contemporary dance, to ethnic, to urban/street dance, to Fosse, to musical. There will be a couple of montages or groupings of dances with general themes. One will be an ode to this time of year, you know.... Halloween! One will be more magical and ethereal. Music will range from Broadway musical to pop to hip hop to afro-latin to R&B to classical. I have 40 dancers this year, aged 8 to 50. There will be more of an adult component to the show than last year, although my youth dancers are dancing plenty! Two adult males will do a dance with two adult females, and I have 3 new older teen boys partnering my teen girls, two of whom will be graduating this year. There is a surprise to this year's show, that has never been done before, but I am not giving the secret away; people just have to come and find out what it is!"
Jazzline takes place at Homer Mariner Theater Oct 22 at 7:30 PM & October 23 at 3 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets are $8 Youth / $12 members / $15 general. |
