"Fresh Flowers" |
A
long-time resident of Halibut Cove, Annette's is inspired by years of

The title piece features multiple small clustered vessels made of clay that has passed from the hands of kids in Artist in Schools to visiting ceramic artists to Annette. "Fresh Flowers" another wall-mounted installation incorporates tulips, 'the dancing flower' in vase forms. As time passes, the installation reflects on loss and mortality. The Rasmuson Foundation, supporting Bunnell and arts and culture in Alaska, our thanks and gratitude.
Bunnell Street Arts Center is fortunate to have the support of Alaska's visionary Rasmuson Foundation. From the Alaska AIR (Artist In Residence) program that brought us cartoonist Jim Woodring through USA Artists in March, to a Tier One grant which purchased much needed office equipment, gallery lighting, and theater/concert video, lighting and sound, the Rasmuson Foundation is a steady partner in nourishing arts and culture in Alaska. Rasmuson creates possibilities for artists and communities, and works to strengthen non-profit organizations like Bunnell. Our lives are enriched through the programming and support of vibrant cultural institutions that Rasmuson provides. Thank you, Rasmuson, for your leadership and vision!
