ECFH Endorses Our Planet - Environmental Film Festival
The ECFH Group continued in its commitment to uphold efforts aimed at increasing environmental awareness, conservation and the sustainable development of natural resources. The Group signed on as bronze sponsors of the first ever Environmental Film Festival hosted by the Our Planet Centre at La Place Carenage. The festival runs from June to September 2012 and will feature international award-winning environmental films from the likes of BBC, National Geographic, Warner Independent, CNN, Walt Disney and so much more. Films will be featured twice weekly (Fridays at 6:30 p.m. & Saturdays at 3:00 p.m.) and proceeds are in aid of the development of a plastic bottle recycling initiative in Saint Lucia. For more information on the festival, visit the Our Planet website at http://www.ourplanetcentre.org/#!film-festival.
The ECFH Group has for a number of years supported green initiatives, which was further demonstrated in 2008 when the organisation took the bold step towards becoming more environmentally responsible with the launch of its Greedy for Green programme. This involves the adoption of environmentally-friendly practices internally across the Group's subsidiaries, as well as supporting external projects to promote environmental conservation and awareness, and to influence responsible environmental practices and behaviours.

Bank of Saint Lucia International Continues Support for Junior Achievers
Bank of Saint Lucia International, the offshore banking division of the ECFH Group continued its support for the Grande Riviere Primary School Junior Achiever's Program. For the second year in a row, the bank and its staff assumed the role as sponsors and mentors of the program. On Friday 8th August, 2012 the bank hosted a brief but important ceremony at the school to honour the students who had successfully completed the program.
Mrs. Kaluwa Maitre-Avril BOSLIL employee, former JA Participant and mentor was elated with the strides that the children had made thus far. Mrs. Maitre-Avril intimated that the program played a critical role in the children's development especially at this important stage in their lives and was thankful with the decision to sponsor the school. Mrs. Maitre-Avril also applauded the children's commitment to their company, which is officially registered and named, Little Green Hands.
The purpose of the Junior Achiever program is to provide students with an appreciation of the world of work by presenting them with real-life business experience. The students were commended for their dedication to the program, as they were able to successfully manage a farm while preparing for Common Entrance Exams. And, not surprisingly, they harvested and were able to sell their produce for a profit.

ECFH through its subsidiary Bank of Saint Lucia International is fully aware of the importance of nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship especially as it relates to our national development and therefore endorses the Junior Achiever's program. Six staff members accepted the undertaking to mentor and coach the students in various business related areas.
