PIP Joins the Chicago Bulls in Creating Community Learning Center for Chicago Youth
Painting
in Partnership, Inc., of Palatine, Illinois, just completed the decorative
painting work for the newly created Chicago Bulls Reading Room and Learning
Center at the Douglas Park Field House located in Chicago.
The
Reading Room and Learning Center was created as part of the Bulls' commitment to
inspire literacy among Chicago's youth. The room is equipped with
a selection of books, computers, reference materials and a "Step Up to Reading"
corner. It also includes new furniture
and Bulls memorabilia. In partnership with Rush
University and ComEd, the Bulls have created five other such spaces in Chicago
over the last five years.
The
grand opening for the room took place on April 14. Bob Love and Benny the Bull were on hand for
the official ribbon cutting. This is
what Ben Adair, Manager of Purchasing for the Chicago Bulls, had too say about
his experience: "Mario
Guertin and his team at Painting in Partnership executed my vision for the
Bulls "Step up to Reading" Stage with quiet, reasoned, beautiful
execution making it the highlight of an already exciting, high profile,
Community Relations project!"
Painting
in Partnership (PIP) contributed its craftsmanship to the project by adding the
decorative painting and faux finishing touches to the room. Mario Guertin, Owner of PIP, said: "we wanted
to help create an inspiring environment for the kids using the room."
Celebrating
its 20th year of service to the Chicago metro area, PIP has a
reputation for excellence in painting and is the recipient of numerous national
awards. Their
services include interior and exterior work, color consultation, decorative and
faux finishing, historical restoration and green solutions.
