Greetings from Seaside High-Speed Internet,

Seaside High-Speed was selected by the Government of Nova Scotia to deliver high-speed Internet to residents and businesses in the counties of Antigonish, Cape Breton, Colchester, Cumberland, Guysborough, Inverness, Pictou, Richmond, and Victoria. Much progress has been made in the past few months, and we are confident about meeting our goal of 100% coverage to all in our service area by December 31, 2009. We ask for your continued patience as we come down the home stretch.
 
Tower Updates

Antigonish County

Residents of Antigonish will notice our temporary structure, which we have deployed in the Frankville area. This will be replaced by a permanent structure later in the year, but until then, is providing service to the communities of Cape Jack, Frankville, Linwood, Linwood Station, Merland, Rear Monastery, West Arm Tracadie, West Havre Boucher, and West Linwood.

Cape Breton Island
We are pleased to announce that Cape Breton Island has seen 41 towers built in the past two months. Over the next six weeks, our professional and dedicated installation teams will be traversing the Island, installing power structures and tower equipment. By early autumn, 191 communities on Cape Breton Island will be able to enjoy high-speed Internet service from Seaside.

Cumberland County

For residents in Cumberland, Seaside was happy to be invited to CICR 99.1 FM last week to introduce and announce service to communities in Western Cumberland County. To find out if your community is now served, please click here.

Guysborough County

Seaside has successfully installed its radio equipment on our Rocky Mountain tower that we share with the Nova Scotia government. Within two weeks, communities all across the District of St. Mary's will be able to surf the web at high speed. Stay tuned for details on a meeting in your community that will demonstrate the features, benefits, and advantages of high speed.

North Shore

Those residents along the north shore of Colchester and Pictou can expect to see Seaside crews in the area at the end of August, as they complete five new structures.

Truro Area
Our last piece of equipment has been installed at our key site in Colchester. Our crews are currently testing southern Colchester. Service will be ready by July 31st to over 125 communities in Colchester County. Check our website for a complete list of communities now served.

Seaside Partnerships

Seaside is pleased to announce that, following a proposal by Seaside, a number of C@P sites in the counties of Antigonish, Cape Breton, Colchester, Cumberland, Guysborough, Inverness, Pictou, Richmond, and Victoria, have shown interest in engaging in a long-term partnership with our company. C@P and Seaside see in this new initiative a future promising partnership for mutual success.
