starfish

Have you heard the story of the boy throwing starfish that had washed up on shore back into the ocean?  A person questions him, "Why are you even trying?  There's no way you can save all of them."  The boy picks up one more starfish, throws it into the ocean and says, "It made a difference for that one."

That's what we try to do as leaders and board members of the IWSA.  We try to make a difference one day and one task at a time.  We know how some days are so overwhelming when you have a child with special needs that it can be difficult to carve out time to be committed to something other than work, family, faith, etc.  But don't count yourselves out!  Consider how you can make a difference by taking on a role (big or small) to help grow the IWSA.  The end result is priceless.  Contact any one of the IWSA leaders if you are interested or have questions or ideas.  Thank you for helping us to continue to make a difference in the lives of individuals with WAGR Syndrome (11p Deletion Syndrome).

The Future is YOU!
