                  Program Overview

The one-day special education law and advocacy program focuses on four areas:

  • special education law, rights and responsibilities
  • tests and measurements to measure progress & regression
  • SMART IEPs
  • introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy

Friday, July 25th
6-8 PM  Meet & Greet, SpringHill Suites
8:30 PM - ?  Mom's/Ladies Night Out (location to be determined)
 
Saturday, July 24th
9 AM - 7 PM Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm
10 AM - Noon - IWSA Introduction, NIH Updates with Dr. Joan Han, Q&A with Dr. Han and NIH Ophthalmology/Nephrology team
12:30 PM - Catered Lunch Provided
1 PM - 6 PM - Bohrer Park activities (water park, putt-putt golf, skate park)
6 PM - Pizza Party (assorted pizza and salad)
8:30 PM - ?  Dad's Night Out (location to be determined)

The Aniridia Network - UK has planned their annual meeting. 
 
The meeting will be held on Saturday, May 8th from  10 AM - 4 PM (with a social meal in the committee room afterwards for anyone wanting to join).
 
Meeting space has been reserved at the Norfolk Heritage Park in Sheffield.
