RAMAPO TO HOST PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION HEARING ON ORANGE & ROCKLAND RATE INCREASE PROPOSAL

The New York Public Service Commission will be holding a hearing at Ramapo Town Hall on March 28, 2012 from 4pm-6pm (Afternoon Session) and 8pm-10pm (Evening Session), regarding an Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc. Electric Rate Increase Proposal.

 

"Ongoing utility rate increases are impeding economic growth in our area, stifling job creation, and deeply affecting the quality of life of our residents, in particular senior citizens" said Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence.

 

Please join us in making this statement to Orange & Rockland Utilities and to the PSC.

 

To submit a comment, you may attend the meeting, email  PSChearing@ramapo.org, or email PSC directly at secretary@dps.ny.gov .  You may also participate by calling Town Hall at 845-357-0102 during the hearing.  It is not necessary to make an appointment in advance, or to present written comments, in order to be heard. Persons will be called to speak at the hearing after completing a request card. All comments will be transcribed and become part of the formal record.

 

The hearing will be broadcast live over our website, www.ramapo.org ; via Cablevision local channels 75, 77, or 78 (Evening Session)  and on FIOS Channel 32 (Afternoon & Evening Session).
