Center to guide residents/businesses seeking assistance; residents urged to confirm FEMA representatives identity as they visit homes.
FEMA's will open a Disaster Recovery Center at Provident Bank Baseball Stadium, 2nd floor community room, 1 Provident Bank Park Drive, (off Pomona Rd) Pomona, NY 10970, beginning Saturday, September 10. The center will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The center stands ready to help residents and businesses affected by Hurricane Irene who need assistance with the application process or would like to speak with someone face to face. Residents and businesses who have already registered are encouraged to visit the Center to see how their registration is progressing.
Additional organizations at the site include the New York State Dept of Labor, the Small Business Administration, and a team from Mitigation that will help residents make the most of their flood insurance program and review damages due to mildew and mold.
