TOWN OF RAMAPO
Identity Theft Protection - Free Shredding Day
Sunday, October 17, 2010
The Town of Ramapo is sponsoring a Free Document Shredding Day on Sunday, October 17th, in the Town Hall parking lot, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM.

Shredding Day is being held to give residents the opportunity to dispose of their unwanted personal/financial documents at no charge.  More than 8.1 million people became victims of identity theft this past year making it the fastest growing crime in the U.S. according to the Better Business Bureau.  Shredding Day is an opportunity for Ramapo residents to gather their unused documents/records and have them securely disposed of.

The shredder truck on-site will be provided by HB Data Security.  Metal and plastic items, three ring binders, and hardcover books are not acceptable for shredding.  The Town of Ramapo's First Shredding Day is being coordinated by Town Councilman Daniel Friedman.

Ramapo Town Hall is located at 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901.
