Coffee 'n Contacts Spotlight Series
Have you heard the new buzz around town? Our Coffee 'n Contacts sessions have been revamped to include a "Coffee Spotlight Series" each week. A Streetsboro Chamber member can reserve a Spotlight for any coffee meeting in advance. He or she will have 15 minutes, at no extra cost, to present an interesting topic to the rest of the group. Note: this should not just be an "about my business" talk. Tell us something we may not know and find interesting. After the presentation, we will do our regular round robin of introductions and allow each person to answer our question of the day. Coffee networking sessions are held the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Arabica in Liberty Corneers Plaza from 8am-9am. Our next presenter is Jim Hornyak of B2B Connect presenting "The 7 Deadly Sins of Networking" on August 16th. Hope you can join us! Call the chamber office to reserve your spotlight! | | |

It's August officially! We had another successful golf outing at Raccoon Hill Golf Club-hot and sunny as always! Special thanks to Soft-Lite Windows, LLC, the City of Streetsboro and Micropoise for being our top sponsors!
We are now changing gears and getting ready to bring back our Fall Business Expo and Community Showcase. We are once again running a special early bird discount which ends August 12th. For more information and details, scroll down to our Business Expo information section.
Change can be such a great thing sometimes, and here at the chamber, we are bringing you some exciting changes! Over the summer, we have been working with the Chamber Master software team to build a bigger and better website and communication system to launch in the upcoming year. Members will be able to more easily access information, link directly to their website and interact with the chamber more efficiently! We are so excited to present this to you-stay tuned for more details in upcoming newsletters!
Also, we separated our Business Awards and Silent Auction, which normally takes place in November, into two seperate events. During our October 12th luncheon, we will honor outstanding businesses from the previous year with significant awards. In November, we will host a special holiday silent auction! We believe these changes will bring an added value to our members and, overall, a new and greater experience.
In order to make these great events successful, we need your help! If you are interested in serving on a committee, sponsoring an event, donating auction items or attending, please contact the chamber for more information. Join us on September 14th for one of the hottest networking luncheons of the year! The Streetsboro Fire Station will be hosting the chamber and cooking up their infamous chili along with hamburgers and hotdogs. Networking begins at 11:30am. Lunch is served at noon. An Evening of Food, Wine and Festivities with Howard Hanna
The 2011 Children's Free Care Fund charity event will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorncreek Winery & Gardens (155 Treat Rd., Aurora)! This annual event is sponsored by the Howard Hanna Aurora office. Please join us for an evening of fine wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres served by local restaurants!
