*Staying up to date on your home's replacement cost

Your Replacement Cost Checklist
It's virtually important that you have enough insurance coverage to rebuild your home in the event of a disaster. Not sure whether you do? Then ask yourself these questions:

*Did your agent calculate replacement cost when your house was first insured?

*Have you kept your agent informed about any additions or remodeling done to your home?

*Is your current coverage set up to protect any unusual or more upscale design features that might be expensive to replace, such as plaster walls, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings or detailed woodwork?

*Do you know if there have been any significant changes to the building codes in your area?

*Do you know what it costs to build new homes in your area that are similar in size and quality to your home?

If you answered 'No' to any of these questions, contact your current agent or our agency to make sure your house is covered properly.

Factors that attribute to expense of rebuilding:
Site Access
Site Preparation
Customer Service
Economies of Scale
Construction Method
Unique Features
Inflation Rate
Supply & Demand
Property Protection

No one likes to contemplate the possibility of his or her home being destroyed, but if disaster strikes, this call could end up being the most valuable one you'll ever make.

May Senior Luncheon in Review

Sponsored by Barabara Kachenko of ReMax/Haven

Guest Speaker, Ron Taiclet, discusses your worst fears vs. your greatest instincts with the group.
Bob Speaking
On Wednesday May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, senior students from Streetsboro High School enjoyed a festive meal and were honored for their efforts in achieving GPA's of 3.5 or higher.  Over 45 chamber members and community partners joined the students to celebrate their successes.  Special thanks to all members who sponsored a student(s).  Barabara Kachenko of ReMax Haven not only sponsored the luncheon, but she also graciously donated door prizes for the students to use and enjoy.  We did not announce our scholarship winners at this luncheon; however, the following week, Olivia Allen and Alexander Westerh were the two 2010 Chamber Scholarship recipients.  Special thanks to Mayor Art Scott and the Streetsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles along with Lissa Barry and Delta Systems Inc. for their key contributions in making this scholarship possible.  Thank to all other chamber members and community partners who contributed to this fund.  We are very proud of the students' great efforts! Good Luck to all of the 2010 graduates!
Students engage and network with chamber members and community partners during the luncheon.
