My Health Toolkit® Mobile
BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is pleased to introduce My Health Toolkit® Mobile. This site puts their most popular online features at the fingertips of our mobile members.


The My Health Toolkit Mobile site offers on-the-go members popular features from My Health Toolkit that are designed for smaller smartphone screens, like the iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, or other compatible smartphones. Unlike some mobile tools, BlueCross members do not need to download an app. Members with an established profile who want to access the mobile site simply navigate to member.SouthCarolinaBlues.com on their smartphone to:

  • Find the nearest doctor, urgent-care center or hospital with a GPS-enabled locator
  • Access claims information
  • View HSA balances
  • View and share their ID card information
  • Check their eligibility for care as well as their policy deductibles and co-pays
  • Lookup prior authorization statuses and details

Members without established profiles should visit My Health Toolkit using their personal computer to set up a profile prior to accessing the mobile site. No matter where our members are, they have easy access to their health information to help them make the best health decisions possible.

Medical Renewal Issues

Some of you who are on the group medical plan who requested certain changes effective January 1, 2011 (renewal time) may be experiencing a delay in seeing the changes reflected with your coverage.  After multiple conversations with BlueCross, they have assured us this would be resolved sooner rather than later.

 

The renewal time of January is their busiest time of year.  On top of this, some healthcare reform changes that were voted into law in 2010 began taking effect earlier this month, thus causing some to experience a delay in getting requested changes keyed into the BlueCross systems.

 

Again, BlueCross hopes to have this resolved soon.  Let us know if there is anything we can do in the meantime.
