Please mark down, Friday, December 3, 2010 for the next SCDA House of Delegates meeting. The meeting will be held at Virginia Wingard Church in Columbia, the same location as last year. Look for the agenda and other meeting details being sent to you in the mail. There are several proposed bylaws changes, so review and be ready to discuss at the meeting.

Time is getting close for another Give Kids A Smile event. Dr. Dana Parker is the SCDA state coordinator and is asking that you please send her your information if you plan to participate in the event.
If you do plan to participate, you should contact
Dr. Dana Parker at dana.parker@gvltec.edu to let her know. You may want to order supplies from the ADA and that must be done by November 12, 2010. If you signed up last year, the ADA provided you a user ID and the ADA system has retained your program contact information from the previous year. If you are new and plan to participate, please visit the ADA's GKAS enrollment application page to sign up and order your supplies. Product recipients will be listed on the ADA website on December 1, 2010, and the products will be shipped the week of January 10, 2011.

It is time to make your nominations for the SCDA Awards. The Nomination Form will be arriving soon in the mail along with the House of Delegates information. The form is also posted on the SCDA website. These awards are given annually during the SCDA Annual Session. Please consider anyone who may fit one of the categories and nominate them for the award. If you have trouble locating your hard copy, just click here.

ADA Offers Free Contract Review Services

Any time you consider signing a contract, contractual analysis should be essential between you and the other party. The ADA offers a free contractual analysis service. Happy Thanksgiving

The holiday season is starting with Thanksgiving just around the corner. The SCDA staff would like to wish each of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels if you will be visiting family out of town. The SCDA office will be closed Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 to observe the Thanksgiving Holidays.
