Improper Use of Social Media Could Lead to Heavy Fines
Your Staff's improper use of social media tools like Facebook or Twitter could lead to heavy fines under HIPAA/HITECH.

New laws around the HIPPA privacy act and security changes are affecting your dental office.  Do you know if you are in compliance?  If you have a computer inside your office, then you can't afford to miss this seminar.  Sweeping changes to the HIPAA privacy rules can lead to heavy fines for non-compliance - not to mention bad press.  Join the SCDA on September 10th to learn about the new requirements and walk away with the information you need to keep your practice covered.

Don't get left in the dark - register today.
Health Connections Dental Providers: Registration For The DentaQuest Web Portal Now Available
Registration for the DentaQuest web portal began July 20th.  We want to encourage Healthy Connections dental providers and/or staff to complete the "super user" registration for their group or sole proprietorship as soon as possible.  You can also set up other users for your group or practice at this time.

As DentaQuest becomes operational, Remittance Advices/EOBs for Medicaid reimbursement will be available only through the DentaQuest web portal.  Therefore, it's very important to complete your group or office's "super user" registration in order to obtain these.  Each group or sole practitioner will need to be registered at the "super user" level for access to Remittance Advices/EOBs.

Along with other resources such as the Dental Office Reference Manual, detailed instructions have been posted on how to set up the "super user" account as well as how to set up other portal user accounts for your office.  To access these resources:

  1. Go to www.dentaquestgov.com
  2. Select "Dentists" option on the right side of the page
  3. Select South Carolina from the drop down list and click GO
  4. Click on the "Provider Documents" button on the left side of the page
  5. Select South Carolina from the drop down list and click GO
If you experience any issues during the registration process, we recommend you "pend" the request and someone from DentaQuest's technical support team will call you.  The DentaQuest Customer Service team is also ready to assist by phone.  They are available Monday - Friday, 8am to 6pm at 888-307-6553.
