BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and BlueChoice HealthPlan are changing the standard delivery method of both paper checks and remittance advices. Effective January 1, 2010, they will discontinue the use of paper.
They are working to make sure their transition to a paperless environment will have minimal impact on you. Many providers are already Palmetto Paperless Providers. These providers currently access their websites to view and download the online remittance advices and payment information via My Insurance ManagerSM and My Remit Manager.
If you are not currently a Palmetto Paperless Provider, you will need to begin your enrollment process since January is quickly approaching.
