As you are aware, SCDA's first DAD project has been set for August 27-29 in North Charleston.  We have received numerous volunteers and donations, but more are needed.  You can visit the SCDA website to see a video clip on a similar event held by the NC Dental Society plus other information that may be helpful.  Please access the volunteer form and sign up today. 

 

The South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), South Carolina Oral Health Coalition and Advisory Council (SCOHACC) and Specialized Care Company have established an award to honor a dentist for excellence in providing care to and advocacy for individuals with special health care needs.
 
Requirements:
●  The nominee must be a dentist licensed to practice dentistry in the State of South Carolina.
●  Nominations can be submitted by anyone in the community other than the provider receiving the nomination. (Author must include name and contact information).
●  A formal letter written by the person submitting the nomination stating why the nominee should be selected.
●  The letter should cite specific information that demonstrates how the nominee has provided exceptional care for patients with special needs.
●  Deadline for nomination letter receipt (or postmark) is June 30, 2009.
(Electronic submissions are preferred).

June and July traditionally are the two biggest months for renewing your malpractice insurance.  This year we've received some great news - SC JUA rates will remain the same and SC PCF rates are actually dropping!
