Dr. Abraham Fischer Joins Haiti Relief Effort

Dr. Abraham Fischer of Women's Health of Central Mass P.C., along with a group of 6 physicians and 3 nurses from UMass Memorial traveled to Haiti in February on a medical mission.

The group saw nearly 1,000 patients in one week.

February-Heart Health Month

Women's Health staff wore red on Friday, February 5th to show their support for the fight to end Heart Disease - The #1 Killer of women in the United States.

Heart disease, including heart attack and stroke, is the leading cause of death in men and women in the United States. Women, account for close to 50% of these deaths. The Center for Disease Control states the following: "In 2006, heart disease was the cause of death in nearly 316,000 females."
