So excited to be in the final stages of our project that will address one of the root causes of animal abuse! After our 5th Team Meeting a few weeks ago, it is time to create change!  The girls that attended the last meeting decided to make a short film about the responsibilities of getting a new pet.  They chose to do a short film to educate kids, parents and people in general on what it takes to own a pet in order to prevent animal abuse! There hope is that this video will be seen by many for years to come and may educate people who are considering buying or adopting a pet so that hundreds of animals do not end up in shelters, abused or killed.  This is social change for sure... working on the root cause of an issue by educating the public!  Go girls! 

 

During our last meeting the girls that attended developed a plot, wrote a script, determined a cast of characters and worked on different scenes to be shown in their video!  Watch out Spike Lee and Steven Spielberg! 

 

Our next meeting will involve filming our educational video and getting it ready for editing!! We hope that everyone who has attended our previous Girls for Change Meetings will be able to attend this meeting as we wrap up our project!
