Built Environment Professional Docturate Informal Drop-in Information Day

 Thinking of doing your doctorate?

The course provides an achievable route for experienced built environment professionals to gain a doctorate in a subject related to their professional expertise. It provides an induction into doctoral level research in a friendly and supportive environment where candidates study with others from similar professional backgrounds. The programme provides a logical step-by-step approach to achieving a doctorate which allows candidates to make maximum use of existing knowledge, and thereby to reduce study time. Distance learning study is supplemented by occasional workshop sessions in Central Manchester.

Members of the teaching team will be available for informal discussions about the course at a drop-in session on;

Friday 20 May 2011, from 12pm until 7pm

at CUBE, 113 - 115 Portland Street, Manchester, M1 6DW

For further information please visit the website; or contact Julia Cannon, Marketing and Web Officer at the University of Salford

Talk to us about studying for your professional doctorate with Salford University, the UK's premier built environment research centre.

SOBE's Professional Doctorate in the Built Environment programme, aimed at experienced practitioners in the industry, is now in its third year of delivery.

Note on booking for ICWES15.

I hope to see as many WES members as possible at ICWES15 in Adelaide, Australia in July. I think it will be a very successful Conference. I have just noted below the ways in which you will pay the lowest fee.

If you want to book for ICWES15, if you do so before May, you will only pay the lower registration fee (see the website for actual dates).

As a member of WES you are also a member of INWES and so will get a reduced rate. On the on-line Registration you will be asked if you are a member of any of several organisations, of which INWES is one, and to give your membership number. INWES does not have any membership numbers, and so you can put any number in that space.

Best wishes, and hope to see you in Adelaide.

Sue Bird

WES would like to thank all of its sponsors and supporters and in particular, the IET, Transport for London, National Grid and Arup
