New LED lights are taking over the marine lighting industry. LEDs are available for navigation lights, interior lights, exterior lights, and panel lighting. There are several very important advantages to using LED lights over incandescent. LED lights consume far less energy and they also don't heat up like incandescent bulbs which cuts back on burns and fire hazards. The operational life of LED lamps is 15-25 times longer than that of incandescent and, due to their lack of glass and filaments, LED lights aren't affected by vibrations. Many navigation lights are difficult and dangerous to replace due to their location and housing. With their extended life and durability you will spend much less time in precarious positions.
