Spring Launch Tips |
If you will be launching your boat yourself, here are a few items you should address before your first outing of the season. In order to prepare your batteries, you should clean the terminals, check the water levels, and make sure they're fully charged. This will prolong their life span and power output. Having a clean bilge not only makes it easier to identify potential problems, but also removes fire, slipping, rotting, and pump clogging hazards. When cleaning your bilge, you want to make sure to remove all of the built up oils, exhaust residue, debris, and mold. Your final inspection should include checking your engine belts, engine fluid levels, and the bilge pumps. Check your engine manual for specific maintenance procedures. If you have any concerns prior to launch, please contact our services departments and we would be happy to schedule a technician to address them. |
