Irish Boat Shop Receives Re-Certification from Michigan Clean Marina 

 

Irish Boat Shop's Charlevoix and Harbor Springs locations have completed the Michigan Clean Marina re-certification process.  Originally certified in 2006, this new certification will be honored through the year 2014.

As a Clean Marina, Irish Boat Shop does its part to improve and maintain Michigan's waterways by reducing and eliminating harmful pollutants, sediments, and nutrients to the water system, as well as continually acting in the best interest of maintaining the Great Lakes water system. 

The Michigan Clean Marina program is a joint program run by the Michigan Sea Grant College program, Michigan Boating Industries Association, and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. 

Certified Clean Marinas reduce pollution and improve water quality in the Great Lakes, protect fish and wildlife habitats, enhance public image by promoting environmentally sound best management practices. Irish Boat Shop, as a Certified Clean Marina, strives for continuous improvement in its environmental stewardship practices.
