TheatreSquared Artists' Forum: Fall of the House

Join Ozarks at Large host Kyle Kellams for an intimate conversation with the cast and director of TheatreSquared's production of Artistic Director Robert Ford's The Fall of the House. The play, a nominee for the 2011 Edgar Award, will run April 12-May 6 at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studio. Cast members will perform a live sneak-preview selection from the production.

Our series of Earth Day events is designed to share tips on green living. These free events are open to the public and held in the library's Walker Community Room.
Building Green Panel Discussion
Thursday, April 5 at 6:30pm
Representatives of Modus Studio, Viridian, and Jacobs + Newell Company will participate in a panel discussion on sustainable building design and construction. The discussion will be moderated by Sam Palmer, Director of Facilities and Sustainability at the library.
Energy Efficiency Fair
Saturday, April 7 at 11am
The Energy Efficiency Fair will feature a panel discussion, an informal round table event and a chance to tour an Energy Efficiency RV!
Public Transportation
Saturday, April 14 at 9am
There will be presentations and a panel discussion on Public Transportation and its effect on economic growth. Participants include representatives from the University of Arkansas Community Design Center, Ozark Regional Transit, MetroPlan out of Little Rock and a member of Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola's office.
Edible Sustainability
Thursday, April 19 at 6:30pm This session features a tutorial on canning by local experts and a discussion on growing your own food by representatives of The Cobblestone Project, a community organization that serves people in need. |

10x10 Countdown Conversation: Diavolo

Poetry Workshop for Grades 5-7

April is National Poetry Month! Young authors are invited to experiment with writing in a variety of poetic styles in this series of workshops, which will culminate in a poetry reading for family and friends.

 Dramatic Book Club with Trike Theatre Wednesday, April 11 at 10:30am Monday, April 23 at 10:30am

These 30-minute workshops engage preschoolers as they play in a particular story, try out new characters, find solutions to problems, explore environments, predict outcomes, build vocabulary and forge connections. Stories are told and retold through acting, movement, puppetry, prop play, visual art and music. One book or story will be selected for each month. All of the activities are designed so that parents can continue the play activities at home. The Dramatic Book Club is free and open to the public. No registration required. |
 Reading with the Razorbacks

The Fayetteville Public Library invites children to Read with the Razorbacks in the Children's Library. Participants will read with U of A Razorback athletes. Every child who attends can make bookmarks and will receive a free book. This event is co-sponsored by Kappa Delta Pi at the University of Arkansas.

"Treated Poetry" Workshop
Monday, April 16 at 4:30pm 
Take poetic license as you reuse and recycle old books and magazines to create "treated poetry" pieces in celebration of National Poetry Month! Supplies will be provided. Your fresh new art and poetry works will be displayed on the FPL web site. This event is free and open to teens in grades 6-12.
