We have launched the 2010-11 year for Impact
on Education with energy and creativity.
I am honored to have joined Impact in July. Impact on
Education has been a favorite and treasured organization of mine for 25 years
and I will take seriously my responsibility to provide inspirational leadership
for the mission of Impact!
- Amy Lee joined the
Impact team in August. Amy is our Marketing Coordinator and focuses her talent
on developing and advancing our Ambassador Program, a program to build better
relationships with all our schools.
- Diana Lewis, Office Manager, continues to manage the office,
events, and business functions of Impact.
- Louise Garrels, Marketing &
Communications Manager works to enhance our messaging using innovative
communication tools and manages our data for analysis and refinement.
We partnered with BVSD within their Fire Response
backpacks and school supplies to families in need of help. We created the ICARE
effort (Impact's Community Assistance and Response Effort) to receive monetary
donations to support teachers, families and staff impacted by the recent tragic
fires. Donate online, by mail or by phone.
We are off to an exciting year! Be sure to read on to learn more about how, in partnership with you, we are making an impact!
Crayons to Calculators
The Crayons to Calculators Partnership was wildly successful
this year. Thanks to hundreds of volunteers, over 7,100
backpacks were distributed to students in need within Boulder
Valley and St. Vrain School Districts.
The support from the community was overwhelming and heartfelt! We are lucky to
live in a region that supports our children!
Special Note: Though the biggest need for school supplies is traditionally the beginning of each school year, we are finding that an increasing number of students, schools, and families find themselves needing supplies during the school year. We do our very best to meet the requests. To help us meet these needs, consider supporting Crayons to Calculators throughout the school year.
|Vote Children First|
Impact on Education
is co-chairing the 3A Campaign to pass the 3A tax override. 3A will restore
funding to classrooms, will enhance early childhood education, and will attract
and retain quality teachers through competitive salaries and benefits.
Please let us know if you would like to show
your support by putting a yard sign up at your home. Yard signs are available
at Impact's office.
