Frank Angel, in dealing with a long illness, has decided to retire from sailing and his duties to the class as Chief of Staff. He has done so with great regret after decades of promoting model sailing, the AMYA and supporting the EC12 Class. Frank's deeper involvement in the class was instrumental in my running for CS. Has been invaluable and responsible step by step for the grow and progress in the class, as it is today and over the last over the last six years. We started with no membership communications, little organization of activities and no protection for the hull standard. He was on the ground floor and grounded in the efforts through that time. We all will miss his personal hand and inspiration in his love for sailing and dedicated perfection in his help and duties. Thank you, Uncle Frank.
After a 60 day search, Tom Phillips has been added to the class staff. Tom and Cheryl landed along the Intercoastal Waterway in Saint Augustine following a career in corporate regional management. He is a RC sailing traveler and part of the Jacksonville group. Tom was one of the orginal founders of the Atlanta MYC in the 1970s and competently sails 2265, a
