Communications
Media and USPS are not as reliable as thought. Worse is a verbal to me at the lake. You have a 50/50 chance for a no show.
If you have sent me an email and not gotten a reply in 2 days, email again. If you have requested a service from the Class and have not received it in a reasonable time, email me about your stuff.
History shows that Florida often enough cannot find an address USPS and I do not get it back.
No kidding.
CS Traveling
The CS office will close 6 November for two weeks. I will be attending the NCR and then returning the Delta MYC Racing vehicle to California. The office will open on 20th. I will be online daily and the mobile 24/7. ...Bye... | |

DT's Winning Season
Danny Thomas has been returning to the fleet all season. Our long time National Champion gets the job done on the water. He started off with a win at the Liberty Bell in April, followed winning the Region 3 event at Raleigh and now has gone back to back this month with Columbia and Annapolis.
DT will be at St. Augustine so, one might think, "Who will be second." |
Well...Well...
No longer the Bride's Maid, the popular Doc Greer wins his first regatta at the Gator in The Villages.
Racing against 12 others in Gold Fleet of a two fleet system, Bob finished in the top 5 in 13 races out of 18 for the event. |
Futaba 2.4GHz
A report is currently being prepared regarding recent and continuing reliability problems with the 6EXAS radio system. Futaba has been less than helpful in understanding a source for several issues that has caused a loss of binding and reactions leading to damage of the sheetline system in the boat. This and other issues have ruined regattas for our competitors.
We have received many suggested fixes from competitors but none have been consistant with a fix that is reliable. There is evidence of cross binding of units and when it starts would require a total shutdown of a regatta to sort it out. This is not a reasonable process and delay, especially at a NCR.
This report is specific to the Futaba and not likely to be available before the NCR in St. Augustine. If you intend to use this system it is suggested that you have two complete units with you and binded to their specific receivers. Rebinding at a regatta has proved dangerous to the affected boat and to others. |
12 Wear Supplier
One of our own, Ernie Freeland, is presenting hats and t-shirts on his eStore. This arrangement with the Class will grow as more items are produced. Help promote the Class at the next regatta with your fashionable wear. |
