VISITJEFFERSONCITY.COM ADDS TWO FRESH FEATURES

New additions include live shot of the Missouri State Capital and interactive iMap

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. March 27th, 2012 - As new technological advances continue to change how those in the tourism industry promote their locations, there is a need to continually improve and update one's online presence. The Jefferson City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) invites you to check out two new features on their website, www.VisitJeffersonCity.com. The CVB website now features a live shot of the Missouri State Capitol as well as an interactive iMap for Jefferson City visitors.

The CVB has partnered with KRCG Channel 13 news to provide a live look at the Missouri State Capitol, which can be seen on the home page of VisitJeffersonCity.com. The still frame, captured from the roof of the building adjacent to the CVB offices at 100 E. High St., updates every five minutes. The view, looking northwest towards the Missouri River Bridge, has captured a variety of settings thus far; everything from sunrises to sunsets, to storms rolling in, to the twinkling lights of the Capitol at night. Jefferson City residents and visitors will surely enjoy watching the different settings of our majestic State Capitol. MO Capitol still photos

The Convention & Visitors Bureau has also added a new, interactive iMap to the VisitJeffersonCity.com home page. The iMap provides descriptions and locations of points of interest in Jefferson City such as accommodations, attractions, dining and shopping. Visitors looking for ideas of things to do in Jefferson City can choose from a selection of sample itineraries or they can create their own.

"The additions to VisitJeffersonCity.com provide us with even more tools with which to attract visitors to Jefferson City," said Jefferson City Convention & Visitors Bureau communications manager Ryan Winkler. "The live shots of the Capitol are truly stunning-I find myself checking back frequently as the weather and seasons change. The iMap is a very modern way for those not already familiar with the area to explore what Jefferson City has to offer and it provides them with routes which they may not have thought of on their own."
