175th Anniversary of the Missouri State Penitentiary commemorative event starts next weekend!

Join us next weekend as we commemorate the 175th anniversary of MSP.  An incredible lineup of activities are planned and there is something for everyone!  Check out the flyer below and go to http://www.missouripentours.com/175.html for all of the details.  You definitely don't want to miss this event inside the walls of the Missouri State Penitentiary!

Spend the night at the Missouri State Penitentiary

The Missouri State Penitentiary tours now include Overnight Investigations of the Paranormal (9 p.m.- 5 a.m., $100 per person). Tour participants are first given a history tour of the Missouri State Penitentiary.  At the completion of the tour, participants are allowed to conduct a supervised investigation in Housing Unit 4/A Hall (the oldest building still standing on thesite, built in 1868), the dungeon cells and the gas chamber. The larger group is broken up into smaller groups to be taken to the gas chamber under a guide's supervision.

The first group to take advantage of this overnight opportunity was Paranormal Research Investigators and their friends the CREEPZ Commandos (seen in photo at right). They stayed overnight on Saturday, May 14. The group thoroughly enjoyed reviewing evidence after spending Saturday night investigating "energy" at the prison.  On Saturday, May 28, a father surprised his 18-year-old son, and three of his friends, with an MSP overnight experience as a gift.

MSP tour guides are not only well-versed in the history of the prison but also know many stories of the stranger, more unusual side of MSP.  Guides enjoy sharing their investigative knowledge and make each investigation an amazing opportunity for guests.  Coffee, water and a box "lunch" are provided. Groups of 16 or more can book their own private tour. Tickets for the public overnight tours are available at www.missouripentours.com.  The next scheduled overnight tour is June 18.
