Jefferson City hotels remain bed bug free
Jefferson City, Missouri- September 16, 2010 Recent reports have shown that bed bugs have been found in an apartment complex in Jefferson City, however; Jefferson City's 13 hotel and motel properties are proud to say that they do not have any bed bug problems.
Local lodging properties take every precaution to ensure problematic issues, such as bed bugs, do not affect them.
Dale Gerstner, owner and manager of Best Western Capital Inn, said they do everything possible to keep out any infestation.
"Our housekeepers visually inspect every guest room, every day when they are cleaning it for the next hotel guest," Gerstner said. "We are very proactive with our pest control and have Steve's Pest Control do a monthly interior and exterior extermination."
Gerstner said that this protocol is put in place to make sure the property is clean, but, with the recent bed bug outbreaks they have been extra vigilant.
