Shorelines Gallery
News from the Shore....Fine Object Art News & Special Offers
September 2009
Greetings!

The first day of fall is quickly approaching on September 22nd, boy did this Summer fly by!

Tomi and I are so thrilled to announce that there will be starting a complete over-haul of the Shorelines Gallery website!  In addition to the redesign we will be adding an online store...Yippeee! This is long overdue and we are just thrilled to be embarking on this new adventure. For the last 2 years we have been open in the Gaslamp Quarter, people have continuously asked us, "do you sell online?" or "Do you have a website?" Our current site has served us well, but with this redesign we hope to show you, our clients, what Shorelines Gallery is all about here in San Diego, and hopefully provide you with an informative, progressive, and a great way to shop hassle free with us from where ever you may reside!

Thank you to those who took the poll last month! The WINNER of the beautiful Annali & Co. bracelet is: Linda Long

Our Monthly $25.00 Gift Certificate WINNER is: Margaret Grasela

September Birthstone: Sapphire
"The blue sister of ruby... "

Sapphires come in a largel spectrum of color, except for red, or more frequently referred to as the Ruby. Often when people refer to sapphires, they mean blue sapphires. Other color sapphires are referred to as fancy sapphires. Pink sapphire has recently gained widespread popularity. From pale baby pink to bright, hot pink, a sapphire in warm pastel shades is gorgeous!

Similar to rubies, sapphires come in many different shapes and sizes, providing great variety to gemstone lovers and ensuring the enduring popularity of sapphire jewelry. With hardness just below that of diamonds, sapphires are one of the toughest gemstones, and with no cleavage, breakage rarely occurs.

Sapphires bring Light, Joy and Peace to the user/wearer.  They open the mind to beauty and intuition, and bring with it the hope of fulfilling your dreams and desires of the heart.

Shorelines Gallery carries a wide selection of genuine and created Sapphire designs by Strellman, Kathy Barbisan, Mac Tippit and local artist, Kanwar Creations.
