| Greetings! | What's New Looking Ahead to 2011
While many of you are wrapping up your semester, we wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy holiday season and invite you to check out our upcoming workshops and events for next year.
Our featured events in 2011 include:
Economics for Elementary Teachers workshop in Tempe. This 4.5 day interactive and fun filled workshop will give you the necessary tools to teach economics in your classroom. Class will run in June, 2011.
Stock Market Game is Free. ACEE is offering ten free teams per class to participate in the SMG for the Spring of 2011. Additional teams are $10 each. Details below. The 10th Annual Economics Conference will be at Mesa Community College on February 26th. A full conference schedule including a pre-conference workshop, hot breakfast, 2 speakers and breakout sessions. All teachers K-12 are invited as well as our pre-service and student community.
Virtual Economics 4.0 and Updated Financial Fitness for Life. The Council on Economic Education has updated these popular programs and ACEE will be delivering workshops in 2011 on these hot tools for the classroom.
Wrapping up the 2010 year, ACEE has reached over hundreds of teachers through our programs, workshops, in-services, competitions and courses. We here at the council want to thank the numerous attendees who have participated in our 2010 events and without the generous donations and funding from our investors could not make this all possible. As we look ahead to 2011, we will return to many of our core programs like the Stock Market Game, Econ Challenge, Annual Conference and Inservices. We hope to see you once again at an event and to be your resource for the classroom in all things economics. Your partners in economic literacy, Mary Anne Doty, PresidentDr. David Katz, SMG and Program Coordinator |

| ACEE - New President - Welcome |
As the new President of the Arizona Council, I want to take a moment to thank you for all of your hard work and the important job you continue to do in the face of severe budget cut-backs.
Educating our kids to be prepared for life in the 21st century is a challenging task made all the more challenging when funding is cut to the bone.
That is why the Council offers our teacher training at little to no cost and why the Council has decided to offer the Stock Market Game free of charge to the first ten teams in each class!
Being new to the Council, I encourage you to email or call me and let me know how we can continue to meet your needs.
Finally, on behalf of Dr. David Katz and myself, have a wonderful holiday season and be sure to check out our upcoming workshops and events for the coming semester.
Best Regards,
Mary Anne Doty
